PRINCE GEORGE – To some, this story is part of Canada’s hidden history… but for many across the nation, it’s a familiar narrative that they have lived, and can never forget. “The Scattering of Man”, the first feature length documentary by Tsay Keh Dene Filmmaker Luke Gleeson, tells the story of the hardships faced by the Tsay Keh Dene Nation after the flooding of the Rocky Mountain Trench in the 1960s, part of a provincial government Hydro megaproject, that destroyed their traditional way of life.

The film is 100% fully funded, by the Tsay Keh Dene First Nation, and has been scheduled for additional screenings in partnership with BC Hydro. Filmmaker Luke Gleeson said it was time for the story to be told by those who experienced it, and were impacted by it first-hand.

“It all came from people really just being ready to tell their story, from our perspective. For years it had been told from other people’s perspective, be it the Province of British Columbia, or BC Hydro… so now our people are ready to tell our story” – Luke Gleeson, Tsay Keh Dene First Nation Filmmaker
