Cariboo Cougars wear special orange jerseys for weekend game

PRINCE GEORGE– The Caribou Cougars held their Orange Jersey game this past weekend to show support towards Truth and Reconciliation for our indigenous community.

On October 15th the Caribou U18 AAA Cougars took to the ice against the Thompson Blazers, wearing Orange in support of the awareness of residential schools. Although the team couldn’t do it on the National Day of Truth & Reconciliation, it felt important to have the team wear jerseys to continue to support the cause.

Although the team wore another great jersey for an important issue, Caribou Hockey makes it a top priority to educate their players on the topic. With players taking it to heart knowing their playing for a cause and not just putting on another cool jersey.
