Meet Quesnel’s new Mayor Elect

QUESNEL – There’s a new face at the head of the council table in Quesnel. After four runs for mayor, Ron Paull beat two-time incumbent Bob Simpson earlier this month.

Ron Paull says he knocked on close to 800 doors looking for support to lead the city of Quesnel in his latest run for mayor.

Paull defeated incumbent mayor Bob Simpson by just over 200 votes. He believes the moving of the city’s iconic Gold Pan was one of the reasons he won.

As for the future of Quesnel, Paull would like to have a plan in place for the predicted recession.
