CKPG meets new Quesnel detachment commander

QUESNEL – Today, CKPG News met the City of Quesnel’s newest Detachment Commander, Staff Sergeant Richard Weseen.

Staff Sergeant Richard Weseen was previously the detachment’s acting commander.

Weseen’s family moved to Williams Lake when he was two-years-old. He worked in the forest industry for 15 years before he moved into policing.

Weseen says he looks forward to working with residents, businesses, Industry, and our First Nations with a focus on reducing crime, reducing community harm, and continuing to keep Quesnel a safe place to live.
