Spruce Kings come back for 4-3 win over Wild

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings came from behind in Friday’s win over the Wenatchee Wild.

In a 4-3 win, PG’s Linden Makow played the part of the hero as he buried the game-winning goal in the final period.

The Spruce Kings found themselves in a hole in the second period down 3-1.

Colton Cameron then narrowed the lead to one as he put a goal past the Wild’s goalie Owen Millward to make the score 3-2.

In the third, Jack Stockfish fired a shot on net and evened the game up at 3-3 at 5:24 in the final frame.

Prince George improves to 8-3-0-1 following the victory while the Wild drop to 2-8-0-1.

The two squads rematch on Saturday (October 29) at Kopar Memorial Arena for the second game of their series.
