Copper Falls back at it!

Over the past four years, the Copper Project has contributed over $310,000 to a variety of vital pieces of medical equipment at UHNBC. Most recently, and thanks to the 2022 Copper Project, the RT300 Supine Restorative Leg Exerciser was added to the Intensive Care Unit at UHNBC. The Supine unit promotes early mobility and leg exercise for ICU patients and helps to facilitate shorter ICU stays and ultimately a smoother return to everyday life.

“We are so very grateful to Jeff and Brent at CopperFalls Custom Homes, and the incredible group of contractors and suppliers for their generosity and dedication to improving healthcare in the North,” says Aimee Cassie, CEO, Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “This project has had a significant impact and has truly made a difference for patients here at home. It is truly humbling to see a collaboration of this size come together, and the benefit will be felt right here at home by our friends and families.”

Previous years have supported various additions including a Dedicated Maternal Operating Room, Breast Health Imaging, and Ortho Video Operating Room Towers to name just a few. Thanks to campaigns like the Copper Project, bringing state-of-the-art equipment to the Northern region can become more of a reality at a time when we need it most.

This year, the net proceeds from the sale of the house will go toward cardiac care, which has been identified as the area of highest need right now.
