Two new streets named after unique local

PRINCE GEORGE – Two streets in a new subdivision on North Nechako Road have been named after a special individual in our community. One street in the Nechako Terrace subdivision will be called Goodsir Place while the other will be Goodsir Crescent.

Developer of that subdivision, John Brink, became friends with Jim Good in 2017, when Good approached him for “small pieces of wood.” Brink’s decision is in honour of Good and his commitment to a very special project over 30 ydears – the Goodsir Nature Park north of the city.

“That’s that’s what it is,” says Brink. “Then in the middle of the night, we had to name some streets here and, you know, and I thought, what kind of name? Because we have the choice of naming them. And, and it was in the middle of the night around 2:00, 130 in the morning. And I woke up, I said, Good, sir, because can only be one name, you know, one for me.”

Goodsir has significance to Good as there is a mountain in BC named after his father.
