Canada’s top public health officials warn that the third winter of the COVID-19 pandemic could be a difficult one.
Dr. Theresa Tam and Dr. Howard Njoo say the health-care system is being challenged by a trio of viral illnesses.
Along with emerging variants of the coronavirus, officials say hospitals face an upswing of seasonal flu cases and a surge of the respiratory virus R-S-V.
Tam is stopping short of recommending the return of mask mandates, but says people should be wearing them indoors.
