Cougars lose tight battle to Giants 5-4

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars could not hold off the Vancouver Giants Saturday night at the CN Centre losing 5-4.

In the loss, the Cougars see their record fall to the .500 margin and now sit at 9-9-0-0 which drops them back one point behind the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL Western Conference standings.

The Giants, on the other hand, have a 7-7-2-2 record and are tied with PG with 18 points on the season after securing the win.

Koehn Ziemmer and Hudson Thornton were bright spots in the game for PG as they each extended their point streak to 10 games.
