The Salvation Army kicks off annual Christmas Kettle Campaign

PRINCE GEORGE- It’s the very first day of the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle Campaign, and that means you’ll start seeing the familiar sights of dedicated, jovial volunteers braving the crowds and the cold to collect coins for the needy

For many people in Canada, the Christmas Kettle Campaign is something they look forward to every year, be it for the chance to donate, or to diligently man their posts as returning volunteers, like Cathy Dunn and Phil Myles, both 10 year veterans of the fundraiser.

From Food Banks, to Thrift Stores, to Drop In Warming Centers and Shelters, all these initiatives rely on the lifeblood of the Christmas Kettle Campaign donations to keep the heat on and the rent paid, and as always, Canadians from all walks of life are eager to step up and answer the call for help, benefit our communities most vulnerable.
