PRINCE GEORGE — On Saturday, a local 13 year old boy had a very special afternoon and hundreds of vehicles went on a drive for James.

Hundreds upon hundreds of cars, trucks, semis and emergency vehicles gathered at the CN Centre to take part in the Drive for James. James Torraville is a 13 year old boy fighting cancer for the fourth time after being cancer free for three and a half years. The drive was organized to help bring a smile to James and his family.

While James was inside, his family and friends stood at the side of 15th avenue to watch all the vehicles file past, showing their overwhelming love and support for James.

At 12:45, everyone participating in the drive past James’ house began to honk their horns in support, and those throughout the city were also encouraged to join in at 12:45 and horn blasts could be heard throughout Prince George.

With the drive past lasting for well over an hour and vehicles still filing out of the CN Centre parking lot, the community came together to help make today a very special day for James.

Hundreds of donors have raised over $17,000 for the family to a GoFundMe page set up by a family friend.
