Spruce Kings win tight battle against Smoke Eaters 4-3

TRAIL — John Herrington was the hero for Prince George as the Spruce Kings defeated the Trail Smoke Eaters 4-3.

Herrington scored the game-winner with just over a minute left in the game giving PG the win and improving their record to 12-5-1-1.

A tight-fought battle between the two teams proved to be an entertaining game for fans in Trail as goals were scored back and forth throughout the night.

Herrington scored two goals on the night shortly after he was named a 2023 BCHL All-Star this week.

The Spruce Kings secure their 12th win of the season and Herrington gets his fourth game-winner of the year.
