Slick, icy conditions on Highway 97 South

PRINCE GEORGE — Drivers are warned of slick and icy conditions on Highway 97.

Drive BC currently has a travel advisory for Highway 97 South between Finning Rd, 22 kilometers south of Pineview and Chamulak Rd, just north of Quesnel, for for icy and slippery conditions.

Due to freezing rain, drivers are asked to avoid non-essential travel and to exercise extreme caution and to drive carefully.

Another update is expected at 2:00 p.m. PST.
