PRINCE GEORGE — The Kamloops Blazers were too much for the Prince George Cougars defensively despite PG outshooting Kamloops in the 4-1 loss.

The Cougars outshot the Blazers 35 to 28 as Kamloops’ Dylan Ernst made 34 saves.

Prince George’s only goal came from Riley Heidt marking down his 13th of the season.

The loss has Kamloops gain enough ground in the WHL Western Conference standings that the two teams are tied with 26 points.
