PRINCE GEORGE — The 29th Annual Festival of Trees kicks off tomorrow and organizers hope that the event will help bring the community together to celebrate the holidays.
The festival of trees is the signature fundraiser for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and a longtime Prince George tradition. This year’s funding efforts will go towards equipping a cardiac care unit at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.
The funding will go towards pieces of vital cardiac equipment such as ECG machines and defibrillators. With this funding, organizers say that Northern residents will receive the cardiac care they need, eliminating travel to centres with appropriate cardiac care.
