CNC program in need of vehicles for auto students’ exams

Dec 10, 2022 | 9:30 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — CNC’s Automotive Service Technician (AST) program is in need of vehicles showing the check engine light for its students.

The program is requiring six vehicles for diagnosis and repair for the student’s final exams and assignments.

As part of the program’s curriculum, students have to complete the hands-on portion in order to graduate meaning donated vehicles are needed.

The AST program is accepting the vehicles on a first-come-first-serve basis and people can drop them off during the week Monday to Thursday from 8 am until 2:30 pm.

In a CNC news release, “most repairs will be completed within the allotted class time, but it is important to note that repairs can sometimes take longer, as this is a school program and not an established auto service shop.”

It does specify that the owners of the vehicles are responsible for any parts costs required for the repair.

CNC says to learn more and to get involved, call 250-562-2131.
