Update: Highway 97 south reopens following three vehicle collision

PRINCE GEORGE —Update: RCMP say the accident scene has been cleared and traffic is moving again in both directions. A three-vehicle crash caused the disruption says police.

Earlier: Motorists would do well to avoid Highway 97 south just past the intersection of Highway 16.

Prince George Mounties say the highway is currently closed due to a motor vehicle incident.

“Police are asking drivers to use alternate routes and avoid this intersection. It is likely to be slowed down for several hours,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
