Impaired driver collides with Operation Red Nose vehicle
PRINCE GEORGE — On Sunday, December 11, Prince George RCMP were called to the intersection of Weisbrod Road and Dagg Road in the Hart for a collision between two vehicles.
After officers arrived at the scene, “witnesses said that a blue pick-up truck had driven through the stop-sign and collided with a red pick-up truck. Investigators determined the 20-year-old driver of the blue pick-up truck was showing signs of being impaired by alcohol and began an impaired driving investigation.”
Cpl. Jennifer Cooper says that “The red pick-up truck was being driven by an Operation Red Nose volunteer at the time of the incident. Thankfully, no one suffered serious injury in the collision.”
Police say that the driver was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
