SD57 suspends renaming and logo project

PRINCE GEORGE — School District 57 has suspended its renaming and logo design project after Tuesday night’s board meeting.
A survey had been launched by the district at the beginning of December to get public opinion on whether the school district should change its name and logo to better reflect the communities they serve.
The survey closes on Friday, December 16, and responses were supposed to be reported in January, and the meeting heard public comment at the beginning rather than the end to hear concerns from parents and others about the renaming project as well as other concerns.
