PRINCE GEORGE– The Prince George Spruce Kings have had a lot of young talent come through their organization over the years. A prime example of that this year is Luca Primerano. The rookie is having a tremendous first season in the BCHL being one of the Spruce Kings’ top point producers and being named to the 2023 BCHL Top Prospects Game.

Primrano got his first taste of the Spruce Kings organization in his final year of minor hockey. The team brought him up to meet some of the roster and train with the players. From there Primerano knew it was the place he wanted to be for the next part of his career.

So far he has impressed in his rookie year. The 17-year-old is currently 2nd on the Spruce Kings in points and is 4th for all players born in 05 in the BCHL scoring race. For him, it was a big jump to the next level working his way back up and earning playing time on the roster.

After committing to the University of New Hampshire earlier this year Primerano will be looking to make a jump in his game next year with the Spruce Kings. Having played this year already Primerano is hoping Year 2 in the BCHL will be easier not having to make an adjustment to the game.

Primerano will be looking to build on his rookie season in the 2nd half of the year starting with a doubleheader in Wenatchee on December 30th and 31st.
