Potentially hazardous driving conditions in the Pine Pass
PRINCE GEORGE — Drivers beware: B.C.’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is warning of challenging weather conditions in the Pine Pass area starting today (Dec.26).
This as Environment Canada expected 15 centimetres of snow to fall by today, then freezing rain.
“Based on the latest forecast, drivers are advised to exercise caution, expect changing conditions and avoid unnecessary travel,” says the ministry.
The ministry says its maintenance contractor is working 24 hours a day in preparation for the potential weather event, plowing and applying sand as needed, but note conditions may change quickly and remain hazardous.
