Penticton shuts out Prince George 3 – 0

PRINCE GEORGE — Brett Moravec’s goal at 1:13 of the third period snapped a scoreless game and lifted the Penticton Vees to a 3 – 0 victory over the Spruce Kings Friday night in Prince George.

The Vees put the game away with goals 24 seconds apart late in the third period to win the game and improve their league-leading record to 30 – 2 – 0 – 0. The Kings are tied for fourth place in the Interior Division with Salmon Arm at 35 points.

Hank Levy turned aside 29 shots to post the shutout for Penticton. Jordan Fairlie made 25 saves in the Prince George net.

The two clubs meet again tonight at 7 p.m. in Prince George.
