Spruce Kings exact revenge on Vees with 3-0 win Saturday

PRINCE GEORGE — A big upset in BC Hockey League action Saturday night (Jan. 7) as the Prince George Spruce Kings shut out the powerhouse Penticton Vees 3-0.

Jordan Fairlie stopped 29 shots for his third shutout of the season. John Herrington registered three points for the Spruce Kings.

The game was payback for Prince George, as Penticton got the 3-0 victory the night before.

The Spruce Kings move into fourth place in the Interior Division at 17-12-2-and-1. Penticton falls to 30-3-0-0.

Prince George’s next game is set for Friday (Jan. 13) on the road against the West Kelowna Warriors.
