Quesnel BC/49 winners step forward to claim $2M prize

QUESNEL — Bruce Carter and Emiliana Kaftan are ringing in the New Year with a $2 million BC/49 win.

This after the ticket they purchased matched six out of six numbers for the draw held on January 4, 2023.

The Quesnel residents bought the ticket from the Husky on Front Street and discovered the news of their win the next morning after seeing online that someone from Quesnel won the jackpot.

They plan to celebrate their win over some Kentucky Fried Chicken with Carter’s mother and look forward to going on a big fishing trip in the near future.

They also plan to share some of the win with family.
