PRINCE GEORGE — With the recent warming in temperatures across the region, it does not feel like winter weather, but with a few more months to go, colder temperatures can and most likely will return, and when those freezing temperatures hit, it’s important to know what side effects the cold weather can have on your health.
In some cases, your skin does not have to freeze in order to get side effects. When out in the cold for extended periods of time, hypothermia is important to watch out for.
The side effects from hypothermia itself can be very dangerous. Being aware and prepared for the conditions will be your best defense against the cold.
