Medicine Hat Tigers tame PG Cougars 5-2

MEDICINE HAT — The Prince George Cougars are now 1-2-1 on their seven game road trip after falling to the Medicine Hat Tigers last night, 5-2.
It was the Cats third straight loss. Viliam Kmec and Chase Wheatcroft had the Cougars goals, while Tyler Brennan made 19 saves on 20 shots in 39:30 of work after relieving Ty Young in the first period.
Chase Wheatcroft is now tied for 1st all time in franchise history with 18 power-play goals in single season. He tied Berkely Bucko who had 18 power-play goals in 2000-1.
The Cougars continue their road swing in Calgary tonight against the Hitmen. Puck drop is at 6 p.m. Pacific Daylight time.
