PG Fire Rescue call volume up 22% in 2022

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue had a busy year in 2022.

In total, there were just under 10,000 calls for service last year. Just over 60% of those calls were for medical emergencies and not fire-related. Only 26 and a half percent of calls were fire related. A report highlighting these statistics is going to be tabled at the Regional District meeting on Thursday.

Fire Chief Cliff Warner says that the large call volume has been a trend for the last couple of years.
