Drive-by shooting occurred Wednesday night

PRINCE GEORGE — A drive-by shooting took place at 20th and Queensway Wednesday night.

Prince George RCMP say that they received a report of a loud bang in the area of 20th Avenue and Queensway, with a sighting of a male running away from the nearby gas bar, at about 6:45 p.m.

The victim involved told police he was walking in that area when a brown Dodge 1500 pickup truck with an Alberta license plate approached him. The victim did not recognize the driver, who allegedly shot the victim from the vehicle and drove away.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper says that they “would like to speak to anyone with a dash cam that may have caught an image of the suspect truck, which has tinted windows and is missing the passenger side running board.”

The victim received medical treatment for his injuries.
