Trio of warming centers open as overnight lows drop

PRINCE GEORGE — With temperatures dropping this weekend a trio of warming shelters are being opened across the community to help those less fortunate in the city.

Temperatures this evening (Jan. 28) are forecast to hit a low of minus-20.

The first warming centre will be open from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm on January 31 and February 1 at the B.C. Schizophrenia Society (1139 6th Ave).

The second is open from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm on January 28 and 29 at the Nastsoolysis – Central Interior Native Health Society (393 George St).
