Prince George Spruce Kings beat Trail in overtime thriller

PRINCE GEORGE – Kilian McGregor-Bennett scored 14 seconds into overtime to lift the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 4 – 3 win over the Trail Smoke Eaters Saturday night in Prince George.

Owen Goodbrand, Ty Gagno and Jack Stockfish scored goals for the Spruce Kings who avenged a 4 – 2 loss to Trail the night before.

The Smokies came back from a 2-goal deficit in the third period to force the extra time.

The same two clubs will face each other once more Sunday afternoon in a 3 p.m. contest at Kopar Memorial Arena.
