PRINCE GEORGE — An Air North flight from Vancouver to Whitehorse had to divert to Prince George on Wednesday.
On Wednesday afternoon Air North flight 554 was en route to Whitehorse from Vancouver, when the flight diverted to the Prince George airport due to a potential loss of cabin pressure.
According to the airline, the plane, a Boeing 737-500, went into a descent to get to an altitude where the cabin did not need to be pressurized, and then the flight crew elected to divert to Prince George.
After landing safely in Prince George, passengers on the flight were given food and drinks inside the terminal. Air North said that a replacement plane was sent to Prince George to pick up to passengers to return them to Whitehorse.
