Prince George Cougars and Red Dress Society partnership takes centre stage Tuesday

PRINCE GEORGE- An important partnership between the Prince George Cougars and the Prince George Red Dress Society will take centre stage Tuesday night.

When the Cougars welcome in the Saskatoon Blades, The Red Dress Society will be in the building looking to raise awareness to stop violence against women.

“It’s always nice to be able to have open conversations with our community,” said Tammy Meise, the president of the Red Dress Society.

The Society will have a kiosk set up in the concourse of the CN Centre before puck drop.

The Cougars have partnered with many local organizations throughout the season, something the team prioritizes.

“It makes us feel good and makes us feel like we are making an impact and a positive one if we’re doing something outside of just normal hockey,” said Parker Florell, the game operations manager for the cougars.

Puck drop from the CN Centre will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 14.
