Powder King Mountain Resort expecting great conditions over Family Day weekend

PRINCE GEORGE- The month of February has seen over two meters of snow fall on the slopes of Powder King Mountain Resort, and it’s set them up for an extremely busy season, and some great conditions on the mountain side
Powder King is a hidden gem of BC ski hills. Known locally as ‘The Whisper of the North’, the modest family owned ski-hill primarily draws in folks through word of mouth advertising, those northern whispers have quite the reach, as the resort has a tendency to draw in an international crowd year after year.
The resort is remote enough that guests and staff are at totally at the mercy of their environment, and they have to rely on sat phones and Satellite internet for communication. But that doesn’t stop avid skiers and borders from making the trip from all corners of the globe, to carve the slopes, and surf some of the world’s best powder… This year, PK is host to some of the best conditions they have ever seen, their hostel has almost sold out, and lessons are booked up for days in advance of the Family Day weekend, which is primed to be the busied weekend of the season for Powder King.
