Pink Shirt Day a chance to promote kindness and stand together against bullying
PRINCE GEORGE — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC is presenting its 11th annual Pink Shirt Day today (Feb.22).
The non-profit is challenging everyone to wear pink, to promote kindness and to stand together in the fight against bullying.
Studies show 1 in 5 kids are affected by bullying with all money raised in today’s campaign going towards supporting pro-active mentoring programs that serve kids in Prince George and northern B.C. These programs take a variety of forms, including 1:1 at school, in the community, or in a virtual setting as well as skill-based group programs.
Pink items will be for sale all over Prince George today with all or a portion of each sale being donated as part of the campaign.
