Spruce Kings fall to 1st place Vees 4-1
PRINCE GEORGE — Just one night after they clinched the division, the Pentiction Vees kept their foot on the gas as they defeated the Prince George Spruce Kings 4-1 on Saturday (Feb.25)
After both teams came out scoreless in the first period, Aydar Suniev would open the scoring early in the second with his 31st on the year. Suniev would score another midway through the period on the power play.
John Herrington would cut the Vees lead in half, scoring his 20th of the season on the powerplay heading into the second intermission.
It was all Vees hockey in the third period as Josh Nadeau would score his 32nd and 33rd of the season and secure Pentiction’s 41st win on the season.
