Survey shows that almost half of Canadians support a cause or charity on a regular basis
PRINCE GEORGE — We’ve all heard of the adage, there are two things in life that are certain, death and taxes.
A new Environics survey reveals that almost half of Canadians support a cause or charity on a regular basis, but the majority have not considered how they can continue that support after their death. In the survey, they found that 67 per cent of Canadians are not even aware they can name a charity as a beneficiary of their RRSP, RRIF or TFSA.
Will Power is an initiative that partners with the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. Will Power’s mission is to increase the number of Canadians leaving a charitable gift in the will, from 8 percent to 13 percent by 2030, which would create 58 billion dollars in charitable giving.
