Police investigating suspicious occurence in Mackenzie

MACKENZIE — At 11:30 am this morning, Mackenzie RCMP were notified of a suspicious occurence that had just taken place.

A local student was walking along Stuart Drive when a black Ford F-150 drove by. The vehicle passed by and then turned around and pulled up alongside the young lady.

The driver, a male, who appeared to be in his mid-thirties, said he was looking for an address but could not find it and asked it for help. The driver then asked the young lady if she wanted a ride, but she refused. The driver became more insistent and told her to get in the truck. The driver then left without any further interaction.

The suspect has been described as:

• Caucasian male
• Mid-thirties
• Clean shaven
• Wearing a salmon coloured hoodie, black sunglasses and grey baseball cap

• Black Ford F-150
• Brown leather seats

The suspect has yet to be identified and police are looking to the public to help further the investigation.
