KELOWNA — Six days after their last match against the Vernon Vipers, the Prince George Spruce Kings got themselves back in the right footing, defeating the West Kelowna Warriors 7-4 on Friday (Mar.10) at Royal LePage Place.

John Herrington opened the scoring early in the first period at the 2:21 mark to give Prince George a 1-0 lead. Exactly 30 seconds later, Herrington would fire his second of the night as he would tally his 22nd of the campaign. The Spruce Kings would continue to put their foot on the gas early as Hunter Price would score his first of the year to give the club a 3-0 lead. West Kelowna would continue to build off their first period goal in the second, scoring two goals in four minutes thanks to Rylee Hlusiak and Jake Bernadet and tie the game up 3-3. This would open up a spree of six goals total in the frame from both clubs, with Herrington scoring his third of the match to complete the hat trick and make it a 6-3 game.

Linden Makow would score his 16th in the third for the Spruce Kings as the club find themselves back in the win column and two points shy of West Kelowna for third place in the Interior Division of the BCHL.
