PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Rod and Gun club aims to develop its newest Steel shooting section. The club seeks those wanting to learn a sport where participants are rewarded for hitting targets.

The sounds of bullets hitting steel plates are some of the newest sounds heard at Prince George Rod and Gun Club. The sport involves hitting steel targets in the shortest amount of time.

“Steel shooting is a competitive sport. It uses firearms primarily. We use rimfire firearms, 22 long rifles, our entry-level, and we have an array of between five and seven steel plates. We at the beep, we shoot each plate once our time is recorded, and then we do it again.”
