RCMP release composite sketch of suspect in ‘suspicious occurrence’

MACKENZIE — The Mackenzie RCMP has released a composite sketch of a suspect in what they’re calling a suspicious occurrence last month.

It occurred on March 9 at 11:30 a.m., when a local student reported she had been walking alone on Stuart Drive when a black Ford F-150 drove by, then turned around and pulled up alongside her.

The driver asked for help finding an address before offering the student a ride. She refused and the suspect became more insistent, telling her to get in the truck. The vehicle left without any further interaction.

The suspect is described as:

• Caucasian man
• Mid-thirties
• Clean shaven
• Wearing a salmon coloured hoodie, black sunglasses and grey baseball cap
