Healing the Hoop wellness conference coming to Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE – Healing the Hoop is a three-day health and wellness conference rooted in the cultural teachings and wisdom of British Columbia’s first nations. The grassroots event is held in partnership with both the Mcleod Lake Indian Band, and Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, with support from local industries and the city of Prince George. Event Organizer and Bizzy Body Enterprises Chief Executive Officer Jocelyn Eisert, says after the success of the first event, Healing the Hoop Wellness conference is becoming more inclusive, and is on it’s well on it’s way to becoming a regular speaking series in the North.
On that note of inclusivity, Art Napoleon, host of APTN’s Moosemeat & Marmalade, and his daughter, LGBTQ+ Drag Artist Quanah Style, will share the stage to talk about Quanah’s transitioning journey .It’s the hope of everyone involved, that it’ll break the ice around a difficult topic, and provoke conversations in a safe environment.
The three day healing conference is open to everyone, tickets for the full 3 days are on sale for $500 each.
