SEATTLE — The Prince George Cougars got a front row seat Friday (Apr.14) on how strong the Seattle Thunderbirds are this post season. Losing by a score of 4-1 in game one of the WHL semi-final series.

Dylan Guenther opened the scoring nearly two minutes into the contest with his sixth of the playoffs to give Seattle a 1-0 lead. Guenther would strike again with just five minutes remaining in the frame to put the Thunderbirds up by two. Koehn Ziemmer would get the Cougars on the board, cutting the lead in half just before the period ends.

That would be the only goal of the contest Prince George would score as the Thunderbirds pot two more to take game one with force.

The Cougars will look to even the series at one on Saturday (Apr.15) in game two before they head back to Prince George for the next two games of the series. Puck drop is at 6:05 p.m.
