YXS Annual General Meeting shows continued growth for airport

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Airport held their annual general meeting on Wednesday, and things are looking up.
The AGM looked at the year in review and 2022 was a busy year for the Prince George Airport Authority and the Canadian aviation sector in general. Passenger numbers increased dramatically from the year previous. In 2022, YXS handled over 364,000 passengers, an 81% increase year over year.
The airport is forecasting this trend to continue. The airport’s focus on supporting local community initiatives continued in 2022, and looking forward to 2023, they will continue to strengthen their relationship with the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, and enhance their community partnership program.
