Team BC finishes 4th at National Aboriginal Hockey Championships

PRINCE GEORGE– The National Aboriginal Hockey Championships wrapped up in Winnipeg, Manitoba this past weekend. Team BC had a great run, finishing 3rd in the group standings and then going on to dominate their quarter-final game 5-1 against Team Saskatchewan. After falling in the semis against Team Ontario, their tournament ended with a hard-fought 3-2 loss in the bronze medal game against Team Alberta.

Three Northern Capitals from this past season represented Aboriginal Team BC as Maddy Niesh, Morgan LaFleur, and Penelope Johnson, took part in the special tournament.
