Prince George woman purchases winning BC/49 ticket

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George resident Sherry Wickes has 75,000 reasons to be happy.

This after purchasing a winning $75,000 BC/49 ticket from the May 6, 2023 draw.

She bought her ticket from the 7-Eleven on Highway 16 East and checked her ticket while grocery shopping at a Superstore.

“My first thought was, ‘No way,’’’ Wickes exclaimed. Wickes hadn’t shared the news of her win with anyone, until now.
