PRINCE GEORGE– It seemed like a dream for Prince George’s Ethan Hamilton when he found out he made the roster for Team BC and was headed to National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.

It was a tournament that featured the best hockey players across Canada from Aboriginal descent teaming up and battling to be the best. Something the 16-year-old didn’t realize until halfway through the tournament.

Despite facing the best players across the Nation, Hamilton made the most of the opportunity, recording three goals and three assists while playing a crucial part on BC’s blueline. So much so that he was named Top Defenceman of the Tournament. Another incredible achievement he can add to his young hockey career.

Ultimately the goal was to place and that’s exactly what Team BC did beating rival Team Saskatchewan 6-2 in the bronze medal game and placing 3rd in the country.
