PRINCE GEORGE — After an unseasonably warm start to May, more seasonable temperatures will be returning to our area.

The month of May has been unseasonably warm with temperatures ranging anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees above normal. Environment Canada says that a shift in the weather is now underway with cooler temperatures in the forecast. For the month of June, Environment Canada says that more warm weather will be present in June but that it is hard to accurately predict what temperatures and conditions will be like that far in advance.

As far as precipitation goes, the weather service says that right now, that there will be more isolated precipitation throughout June as opposed to more widespread rain. With the change in conditions, thunderstorms may be likely which leads to more isolated precipitation.
