Canada North Resources Expo kicks off today after three year hiatus

May 26, 2023 | 4:15 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — The Canada North Resources Expo opened its doors today, focusing on Northern Canada’s varied resource sectors.

At Exhibition Park, dozens of pieces of heavy equipment were parked as the Canada North Resources Expo kicked off today. After 3 years of being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the first year since then that the event has been held. Mark Cusack is the national show manager and tells us more about the event.

“It’s a two day event encompassing about five acres of outdoor equipment, heavy machinery, heavy construction, forestry and 100 supplier boots inside that. Those are the people inside. Those are the exhibitors and the companies that keep the big machines rolling day to day.” – Mark Cusack, National Show Manager, CNRE

One of the vendors at the expo is Inland Truck and Equipment and Inland operates dozens of pieces of equipment, some of which were on show for spectators at the expo.

We’re a heavy truck and heavy equipment dealer in British Columbia. We’re just excited to be here back in the scenery again, get to interact with the people in the community. We have a couple of exciting events going on this weekend. We’ve got a charity auction for a [semi] truck with proceeds, a portion of the proceeds going to Spirit of the North health care. Tomorrow morning, we have the Honor House Tour of Honor, stopping by at 10 a.m.. So it’d just be great to see everybody come out, come and join us at the event and have a good day. – Corey Timms, Director, Construction Equipment Sales, Inland Truck & Equipment

The expo runs for one more day, concluding on Saturday with doors opening at 9 am and wrapping up at 4 pm.
