1. Do you support sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) education in B.C.? Why or why not?

I do support sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) education in B.C. It is and will always be a forever changing world. There is current Policy developed and in place. It is our duty to ensure the policy is followed and we as Trustees adhere to approve policy.

2. What does School Board transparency mean to you? How will you work to make school board activities are transparent for stakeholders and the public?

Transparency is the means of which the School Board Trustees, along with the Administration Team provide open and honest lines of communication with the people and keeping all information and decisions we make in interest of School District #57

3. What are the top three issues facing students?

Safety, Academics, Teacher Student Radio

4. Is the school district doing enough to prepare students for success following graduation? If not, what could it do better to prepare students?

Post Covid / Pandemic, systemic racism and discrimination, and Teacher Shortage (Teacher to student ratio) which as a result all students education is therefore impacted. Improved teacher salary, government involvement in the overall education of more teacherages. Bonuses provided for remote education positions. Involvement of our Trustees in working with and lobbying government. Review of current programs, review, and feedback from the Strategic plans.

A lot can be done if the right people are sitting at the right tables for discussion.
