Community reflects on 12-year search for Madison Scott

PRINCE GEORGE – With the search for Madison Scott finally, over, the community and those who searched for her have some time to reflect on the dozen-year missing file. Our Dave Branco travelled to Vanderhoof today to talk to those involved from the start of the search for their reactions.

Over the past few days, Search Manager Chris Mushumanski and his fellow search and rescue members have had time to digest the discovery of Madison Scott’s remains, as Nechako Valley Search and Rescue were the first groups to assist in searching for Maddy.

Word spread that Maddy had gone missing, with people from the community volunteering their time to assist in the search.

As the days turned into weeks, then to years, a former councillor says the district lost its innocence.

The investigation continues. A vigil is scheduled for Saturday 7 pm, June 3rd, at the local high school field.
